I wish I could quit you yarn. But I can’t I love yarn, it all started about seven years ago. We had moved out the country and all my arts and craft things had been packed away. We were in transition, between houses. We would be in the rental house to short a time for me to set up shop with all my crafting wares. So I took that opportunity to pick up knitting. Little did I know that it would be my number one love. It started with a red scarf project and a coffee shop in East Cupcake, TX. The owner of that shop was an avid knitter and she became my fairy knit mother. I taught myself how to knit thanks to some books from the library, and the internet. Then Betsy really showed me how its done. Love that woman too. She took me to my first yarn sale at the Yarn Barn. She introduced me to the ladies of Elann.com which is a community of the nicest, and most helpful of all groups. I really do owe my love of knitting to them. If my experience had been any different, I probably would have easily gone back to my other artistic passions.
I so I really didn’t want to be cliche and do some red heart things for this February’s calender, but somehow it fits. My love for yarn started with a red scarf, and I love yarn, why not in case it in a pretty little heart. It’s February in any case. Love is in the air, and in all the stores, why not slap it on your desktop too.
So here it is from me to you, Happy February! I hope it’s filled with lots of happy warm yarny goodness.
Happy BirthMonth, Betsy!! I heart you too, my friend.
