Viola I have finished another shawl. I started this in February and just finished it two days ago.
I used: Ella Rae Lace Merino
460 yards (421 meters)
100 grams (3.53 ounces)
26.0 sts = 4 inches

And I pretty much used all of it. I had a little tiny ball left about (3 grams left), to give you a visual it’s maybe the size of a dime? Yeah something like that. Here is the proof.
Why am I obsessing about what I have left? Who really cares you might say to yourself. I do.

What did I learn? When you think you need to bind off, go another row.
The simple technique. Weigh your cake or ball of yarn. Then work a row or two. Then weigh it again. The difference should tell you how much you used and how many more rows you will be able to go before you can bind off or run your nearest LYS and purchase more yarn. 
It’s that simple.
I liked this pattern but also made a booboo while I was knitting it up. I should have done more of the lacy repeats and then less of the edge pattern repeats. But that’s okay I kind of like the edge.
